These transnational collaborations are not limited to the military level but extend to risk assessment and resource integration for natural disasters, aiming to enhance the overall defensive capabilities of Pacific Island nations against extreme climate and geological disasters.

Regarding social security, a criminal case that shocked the international community occurred in Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea. According to media reports, a 31-year-old Chinese university lecturer named Zheng Changsheng allegedly murdered a 25-year-old Chinese female student at his residence in Gyeongsan on the early morning of August 20, subsequently dismembering and discarding her body. The Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency officially released the suspect's identity and a clear photograph of his face on September 1 and transferred the case to the prosecution on September 4. It is reported that the victim was scheduled to enter South Korea on August 14 to receive her master's degree certificate when she was tragically killed.
